In our custom software development project for Words First, we designed a report writing tool specifically to empower speech and language therapists. We developed a flexible reporting framework specifically for Words First therapists, enabling them to create custom report templates tailored to various assessment types and client needs. This framework included a library of standardized report elements and assessment tools for easy import and customization, ensuring compliance while reflecting individual client requirements. Key features of the solution included customizable report templates that adapt to different assessments, allowing for quick report generation, and auto-fill capabilities for frequently used information to streamline data input. Additionally, the framework facilitated real-time collaboration, enabling multiple therapists to work on reports simultaneously and provide direct feedback within the document. Integrated assessment tools allowed therapists to access and incorporate assessment results directly into reports, minimizing manual data entry and reducing errors.
The Impact
The new design achieved a remarkable 60% reduction in time spent on report creation, significantly enhancing therapist efficiency. As a result, therapists could generate reports more quickly, leading to increased productivity across the board.
